Inclusions Gallery is pleased to present Outgrowth, a duo exhibition of oil paintings by Heidi McDowell and photographs by Jon McNeal. Join them for the opening reception Saturday, September 19th from 5-7 PM. Both Heidi and Jon will be in attendance, so come say hello. They will also discuss their work and take questions during their Artist Talk on Thursday, October 1, at 6:30 PM. Both events are free, and all are welcome.

“We began collecting images together over 30 years ago, roaming a strange and chaotic city in a car. We have never been far from each other, cameras and sketchbooks in hand, pointing and asking what or why is that.
We collect evidence of the strange. We like erosion, absurdity, rocks, color, texture, industry, fire – complex things that inspire stories in us and speak about time. We collect to study, reflect, and refract the changing world. To project forward and backward.
We make photographs and paintings to examine. We layer, disassemble, mirror, and emphasize to construct something new. This work is an outgrowth of our process.”
