March 16 @ 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Community Meeting to Finalize Our Pedestrian Safety Recommendations

Safe Streets Now! Community Meeting

Monday, March 16th, 6:30 – 7:30 pm.
BHNC: 515 Cortland Ave.
(Virtual option is available)

Please RSVP to let us know whether you are attending or need a Zoom link for the meeting.

This meeting is the next step in our community-led process to implement safety improvements on Cortland. Together, we will discuss and refine a final list of immediate street safety improvements to formally submit to our District Supervisor and SFMTA.

The Bernal community, Safe Streets Bernal, Walk SF, and the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center Community Engagement Committee have all been working to develop a list of immediate street safety improvements that can be rapidly implemented by SFMTA. This meeting is the culmination of work from several past community meetings.

At the upcoming meeting, we will present the proposals and field questions regarding pedestrian safety solutions. Our goal is to finalize the measures that can be implemented immediately in response to the hit-and-run fatality and subsequent community meetings that took place in the Fall. Your input matters in finalizing the list of community recommendations.
