Bernal Heights is an amazing neighborhood that deserves an amazing place to gather. Working together, we can turn Bernal Rec into a model community hub.
Our first mission is to renovate the plaza into a welcoming, well-maintained, and vibrant gathering space for all neighbors to enjoy for generations to come. The Plaza will continue the greening evolution of our neighborhood, serving as a model for the rest of the City. This investment addresses both a pressing infrastructure challenge and a long-standing community need — building a more resilient, connected, and climate-ready Bernal Heights.
