Halloween on Cortland 2026
Halloween on Cortland: Saturday, October 31, 2026
Cortland Ave, Bernal Heights · 5-8 pm · Free · All ages
Halloween magic comes alive on Cortland Avenue as our beloved Bernal Heights tradition returns for another unforgettable year. Ghosts giggle, costumes dazzle, and trick-or-treating is safe, silly, and full of surprises for all ages. No broomstick required!
Why Saturday matters
Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, a rare treat that won’t happen again until 2037.
A Saturday Halloween makes it easy for everyone to be there. Parents are off work, so no one has to race the clock to get home, change, and get kids into costume. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends can join in. And with no school in the morning, little ones can enjoy the whole evening and sleep in the next day.
That means more neighbors out on the street, which makes it more fun for everyone. We’d love to fill Cortland.
