3 Epic Tastings This Week @ SF Tequila Shop

Get your tasting glasses ready, Bernal Heights. We have an absolutely incredible lineup of spirits hitting the bar this week at SF Tequila Shop.

We are crossing borders and shattering style categories with three distinct producers who are all pushing the absolute limits of their craft. From high-altitude Mexican peaks to the mountains of Serbia and the rolling plains of Texas, here is what’s pouring this week at 801 Cortland Ave.

🧗 TODAY: Tuesday, May 19 | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

The Altitude Innovators: Alto Canto Tequila

We are kicking off the week with a massive treat for tequila purists. Meet Alto Canto, the creators of the world’s first Tequila de Altura (High-Altitude Tequila).

Produced at a tiny, single-brand distillery nestled 9,000 feet above sea level in the Sierra del Tigre mountains of Jalisco, this is as traditional as tequila gets, with a brilliant environmental twist. Because of the extreme elevation and lower atmospheric pressure, everything from cooking to distillation happens at lower temperatures, preserving delicate, vibrant flavors that industrial setups burn away.

What we’re pouring:

Blanco: Certified organic, tahona-crushed, and naturally fermented in open-air wood vats with the agave fibers included. It is citrusy, mineral-forward, and beautifully buttery.

High Proof Blanco: Sitting at a bold 48% ABV straight from the copper pot stills. It’s a complex explosion of lime, pomelo, thyme, and rich cooked agave sweetness.

Reposado: Aged inside an adobe-brick barrel house in virgin American oak, bringing gorgeous, light notes of vanilla, honey, and baking spice.

The Soul of Serbia: Yebiga Plum Brandy & Gin

On Friday, we step out of the agave fields and journey into Balkan tradition. Yebiga is bringing its fanatical devotion to the indigenous plums of central Serbia to Cortland Avenue.

If you appreciate small-batch, deeply regional spirits, this lineup will blow you away. We are highlighting how one exceptional piece of fruit can be transformed into three completely different masterpieces: two traditional brandies and a revolutionary gin.

What we’re pouring:

PRVA: Their flagship plum brandy (Sljivovica), aged 18 months in Serbian oak. Golden, elegant, and complex with notes of vanilla and preserved fruit.

BELA: A crisp, vibrant, unaged expression rested in stainless steel to showcase the pure, bright, floral essence of the plum.

KLEKA: A total category disruptor. This is a premium gin built on a base of double-distilled plum brandy rather than neutral grain, infused with wild mountain juniper. It has a rich, velvety body you’ve never experienced in a gin.

The Agave Disruption: Weber Ranch 1902 Vodka

We are closing out the week by bringing it all full circle. What happens when the world’s finest agave meets the craftsmanship of premium American vodka? You get Weber Ranch 1902.

Crafted by an elite team of agave industry veterans, this innovative spirit bypasses standard grain bases entirely. The journey begins with 100% Blue Weber Agave estate-harvested in Jalisco, which is then column and copper-pot distilled at the Weber Ranch distillery in Texas.

Naturally additive-free and gluten-free, it delivers the ultra-clean smoothness of a top-shelf vodka while retaining a luxurious, velvety texture on the palate, with delicate notes of crisp citrus, pineapple, and a soft touch of vanilla. Come taste why this bottle is completely reshaping the vodka landscape.
