So we turned to our friends at SF Tequila Shop for their take on the classic cocktail with a Bernal spin.

Sure, here’s a recipe for a Bernal Heights San Francisco twist on the classic Margarita cocktail to celebrate National Margarita Day:

Ingredients:

• 2 oz tequila
• 1 oz fresh lime juice
• 1/2 oz agave nectar
• 1/2 oz grapefruit juice
• 1/4 oz Campari
• Salt or Tajin for rimming the glass
• Grapefruit wedge for garnish

Instructions:

1. Rim a chilled rocks glass with salt or Tajin by rubbing the rim with a grapefruit wedge and dipping it into a shallow dish of salt or Tajin.
2. Fill the glass with ice and set it aside.
3. In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, lime juice, agave nectar, grapefruit juice, and Campari.
4. Add ice to the shaker, and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds.
5. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over the ice.
6. Garnish with a wedge of grapefruit.
