Bernal Heights Democratic Club San Francisco – Mayoral Endorsement Meeting

Endorsement Vote for San Francisco Mayor
As announced at the Bernal Heights Democratic Club meeting on May 16, the San Francisco Mayor’s endorsement vote will occur on Thursday, June 13, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center, 515 Cortland Avenue.
The voting process will follow a ranked-choice system, similar to the method used by the Department of Elections.
The top five mayoral candidates have been invited to respond to a questionnaire, and their responses will be shared with members before the meeting.
According to the bylaws, only members who joined at least 30 days before the vote and are residents of Bernal are eligible to participate in the endorsement vote. Members who joined at the household or higher level and have not yet designated their additional registered voter household members are encouraged to do so promptly. Founded in 1988, the Bernal Heights Democratic Club (BHDC) is a chartered Democratic club organized to give the residents of Bernal Heights an effective voice in government through active participation in the electoral process. The club’s mission is to research issues and candidates to educate and mobilize the community through political activities, including community forums and slate card development and distribution.
Endorsements of candidates and issues reflect the club’s overarching goal, which is to maintain the neighborhood’s economic and cultural diversity by working to further economic and social justice for all residents.
