DogFest is the ultimate celebration of all things canine, community, and spring in San Francisco. But it’s not just a fun day out – it’s also a charitable event that raises funds for McKinley Elementary, a small public school in the local neighborhood.

For 16 years, DogFest has been a beloved tradition in San Francisco, growing from humble grassroots beginnings into an event with thousands of supporters and hundreds of participating businesses.

DogFest is back and better than ever in 2023, in the heart of San Francisco at Duboce Park. The event promises endless entertainment, with carnival-style games run by McKinley students, jumping castles for the kids, and a day-long dog show and contest. Food trucks will keep everyone well-fed, while the book fair, merchant stalls and dog adoption zone provide plenty of ways to support the community.

And if that’s not enough, DogFest boasts an impressive panel of judges, including San Francisco Mayor London Breed, who has been a judge since 2013, and Senator Scott Weiner, who has been on the panel every year since 2011.

There are many ways to get involved and support McKinley, whether becoming a sponsor, vendor, or donating directly. And for those with furry friends, why not enter them into the dog show or bid on some fantastic items at the silent auction?
